Coach Rhonda Hook

Coach Rhonda Hook was born in Orangeburg, SC to Ronald and Parrie Hook. She has one brother (Broderick), two sister’s (Franchesca and Desirae), one sister-n-law (Trudena), and three nephews (Emmanuel, Elijah, and Broderick Jr.). She attended Orangeburg County schools. She received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology at Morris College in Sumter, SC. Rhonda is currently a teacher at the High School for Health Professions. She also is a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens and the Regional Medical Center.

 

Rhonda is one of our own, an alumna of Bethune-Bowman class of 2009. She was a part of the two-time region champion Bethune-Bowman girls basketball team in 2008 and 2009. With all that she does, she takes pleasure in returning to her alma mater to coach our student athletes. Rhonda serves as Head Volleyball Coach and Assistant Basketball and Softball Coach. She has been a part of our staff for the past four years. Within her four years, she has led the her teams past the first round of the state playoffs each year. Last year , her  young ladies advanced to the third round of the state playoffs, just one step from Lower State Championship. She has enjoyed a winning season in each of her years at Bethune-Bowman. Her overall record as head coach is 42-22.

 

She believes that with hard-work and dedication our athletes will remain on top and will one day meet their goal of winning the state championship. Her team’s motto is “A team above all, Above all a team” and “We will go All Out, All game, All season!”.
