Mohawks News · Bowman Boys Fall To Estill to finish season

Estill SC… The Bethune-Bowman boys fall to Estill HS 67-64 in their final contest of the season. The Mohawks played hard but were not able to overcome a slow start. The Mohawks finish the region schedule at 5-5 and in third place. With the Covid guidelines for a shortened state playoff, the Mohawks will miss the state playoffs for just the 2nd time in 8 years. The pandemic really took its toll on the student athletes, who were not able to get in sync. The team that returned 8 players from its third round trip last year just could not find its stride.

Bethune-Bowman was led again by All State Bradley Washington’s 24 points and 3 steals. Jaheem Linder added 10 points and 8 rebounds and Jarione Avinger Jr added 10 points in the defeat.
