The Friday night lights will finally flicker on to satisfy football-starved fans across the Bowman area.
An unprecedented off-season that kept players out of weight rooms, canceled scrimmages, postponed the season to spring, then welcomed it back to the fall finally comes to an end this week, as Bethune-Bowman high school football teams embark on a shortened regular season.
But six weeks of football is better than no football, as long as players, parents and coaches can successfully navigate around the corona virus pandemic.
From masked-up players and coaches to limited fan attendance, the season’s opening weekend will be uncharted territory for everyone. For Bethune-Bowman’s 10 seniors, a summer of uncertainty is no more.
Bethune-Bowman will open their season by hosting Allendale-Fairfax on Friday October 2, 2020, at “the Bow”. Game time is 7:30. Please take time to view the Covid Guidelines video located on our athletic web page (mohawk4life.com) because some of our operations have changed. This will help you navigate the changes easily.
See YOU there!!
